Tale of Ekati, Colonel John Preps
Edgar Prado, Corey Nakatani Take Late Kentucky Derby Prep Races

The first Saturday in May is three weekends away, and Tale of Ekati and Colonel John, piloted by Edgar Prado and Corey Nakatani, respectively, have made late moves in two major Kentucky Derby preps. Tale of Ekati, a Sunday Silence progeny, looked strong in the Wood Memorial, while Colonel John, a Tiznow colt, gave notice in the Santa Anita Derby.
Gayego, Z Fortune, and Monba, three colts on early Derby favorite lists, also were successful last weekend in the Arkansas Derby and the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes.
