Irish Dreamer, Bill Place, Crafty Bear, Summer Doldrums, Joe Got Even, Wollaston Bay, Sir Five Star, Sir Whimsey won and finished on the board. None went to the Derby.

While the Top Ten Derby horses dominated the spring races, and the second tier kept in hot pursuit, less known entries also did well. Many finished win, place, or show often enough to grab credentials for their stud futures.
