Kentucky Derby Prep Race Wins in February

Haynesfield, Friesan Fire, Chocolate Candy, and The Pamplemousse Win

Four Thoroughbreds won their second Kentucky Derby prep race in February, including Friesan Fire, Haynesfield, The Pamplemousse, and Chocolate Candy.

Headed for the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby May 2, only Friesan Fire has won a prep race in each of the first three months of the season. Other three-year-olds who may be pointed to the Run for the Roses and won preps in February and March include The Pamplemousse, Milwaukee Miracle, and Pioneerof The Nile.
